Google Docs now offers an “Audio” option under the Tools menu (right between Voice typing and Gemini), where you can click “Listen to this tab” and start hearing your document read aloud.

Rapid Release domains started getting it around August 18, with a scheduled rollout beginning August 25, 2025.
